“I have tried everything and online dating is still not working!”
Does this sound like you? Have you tried joining an online dating site, or even a few of them and it just isn’t working out? Well I have something to tell you and it may hurt a bit. Are you ready?
If you want to meet the love of your life online, its time to get real!
That’s right, I said it. Get real. This may sound silly to you or even a bit offensive, but the truth is most people are not genuine and real when advertising themselves online.
And yes I did say advertising. If we are honest with ourselves, that is exactly what we are doing when we are filling out our online profile. Advertising ourselves.Think back a bit. Maybe you posted a picture of yourself when you were 40 pounds lighter or 40 years younger, or worse than that, you posted a picture of someone else altogether.

Maybe you weren’t that bad and just fibbed a bit on your passions and desires, or maybe you just said that you like country music, thinking it will help you find that perfect cowboy, when you really don’t know a single country song.
I’m laughing as I write this because I know this is all so true.
“Truth in advertising,” we have all heard the adage, haven’t we? In this over-hyped world that we live in, nothing is worse than seeing something in real life that was over-advertised or even worse, was nothing like you were told. It’s just terrible, and leaves you with a really bad taste in your mouth. No matter what the item is really like… After that initial punch in the gut, it’s really hard to get over the fact that you have just been lied to.
So what do you do? Well most likely you just walk away and don´t look back.
Sadly, that is exactly the experience most people are having when dating online.
So how do we fix it? Get real!
